Project Metrics in Project Analyzer

Project Metrics requires Project Analyzer Enterprise Edition.

Project Metrics is a Project Analyzer feature that calculates and displays 180 metrics for Visual Basic source code. Project Metrics consists of two parts:

1. Project Analyzer (project.exe, Enterprise Edition) analyzes code. Select Save metrics in Project Analyzer's Enterprise menu to store the metrics in a .mtx file.
2. Project Metrics Viewer (mtxview.exe) displays the data stored in the .mtx files. The viewer is in your Project Analyzer directory.

The uses of software metrics vary from project size estimation to quality control and performance evaluation. With metrics you can find potentially problematic areas in your files, monitor how your code develops in time and compare projects to each other.
